EPD-2025-0075. This is not only a confirmation of our conscious and sustainable production policy but also official proof that SOLROOF belongs to the most eco-friendly solutions on the photovoltaic market, with one of the lowest carbon footprints in the industry during the production phase. Achieving an environmental performance level up to three times higher than some modules produced outside Europe.<\/h1>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"724\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/bp2.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/certyfikat-EPD_PL-nr-2025-0075_1-724x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-103082\" style=\"width:395px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bp2.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/certyfikat-EPD_PL-nr-2025-0075_1-724x1024.jpg 724w, https:\/\/bp2.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/certyfikat-EPD_PL-nr-2025-0075_1-679x960.jpg 679w, https:\/\/bp2.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/certyfikat-EPD_PL-nr-2025-0075_1-768x1086.jpg 768w, https:\/\/bp2.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/certyfikat-EPD_PL-nr-2025-0075_1.jpg 826w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 724px) 100vw, 724px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The declaration was issued on July 16, 2025, by the certification body CERTBUD Sp. z o.o., in accordance with the EN 15804+A2:2019 standard, which defines the rules for environmental assessment of construction products. GWP (Global Warming Potential) in phase A1-A3 (from raw material extraction to the factory gate) for SOLROOF amounts to only: <strong>0.18 kg CO<sub>2<\/sub>eq \/ Wp.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means that SOLROOF photovoltaic panels are almost 3 times more environmentally friendly than some popular non-European PV modules.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:2rem\"><strong>European production, world-class quality<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>SOLROOF photovoltaic modules are manufactured in a modern production facility in Ko\u0161ice (Slovakia), covering an area of 21,000 m\u00b2. It houses not only the photovoltaic line but also the Steel Service Center, a steel gutter system line, and sandwich panel production.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The facility was created to meet strict requirements, which allowed us to obtain ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification. These standards define the requirements for organizations wishing to implement, maintain, and improve management systems to minimize negative environmental impact and ensure compliance with regulations. In addition, we can also boast other certifications, including:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>XCarb\u00ae recycled and renewably produced steel certificate from ArcelorMittal, Declaration of conformity with Directive 2014\/35\/EU, Classification report for FIT VOLT roofing under external fire exposure, Safety test report for BIPV and PV installations from CBOiNT, Production quality management certificate compliant with ISO 9001.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our production line and the SOLROOF system also hold the VDE certificate. The tests were carried out by the renowned Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE \u2013 part of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, the largest independent European research organization. It specializes in advanced testing of modern technologies, with a particular focus on photovoltaics. Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft comprises as many as 66 German scientific research institutes, serving as an authority in the field of energy innovation.&nbsp;&nbsp;\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:2rem\"><strong>Advanced technology and a conscious material choice&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>SOLROOF panels are a modern combination of glass-steel technology with the proprietary VOLT LINK solution, integrating monocrystalline cells with a steel layer. This ensures mechanical durability, resistance to extreme weather conditions, and high aesthetics.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:2rem\"><strong>Low-emission XCarb\u00ae steel from ArcelorMittal<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p>At SOLROOF, we believe that the future of construction lies in solutions that are not only efficient but also environmentally friendly. That is why our panels are made of low-emission XCarb\u00ae steel from ArcelorMittal \u2013 a material that is at least 75% recycled and produced using 100% renewable energy.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Production takes place in electric arc furnaces (EAF), which significantly reduce CO\u2082 emissions (average footprint is about 300 kg CO\u2082 per ton of steel), compared to conventional smelting methods.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\"><div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"544\" height=\"226\" src=\"https:\/\/bp2.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Xcarb_logo_solroof-new-1.svg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-98241\" style=\"width:352px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to the use of XCarb\u00ae, the SOLROOF roof not only generates clean energy but also supports the circular economy itself, offering a genuinely lower carbon footprint already at the material selection stage.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, ArcelorMittal certifies every subsequent 100 kg of product with documents confirming the share of recycling and the use of renewable energy, which enables transparent emissions reporting.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:1rem\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:2rem\"><strong>High durability of XTREME [XT] coating \u2013 up to 60 years warranty&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure the highest durability and aesthetics of the SOLROOF system, we have used the latest generation protective coating \u2013 XTREME [XT] from ArcelorMittal. This advanced solution not only provides the highest level of corrosion resistance (RC5+) and UV resistance (RUV5) but is also based on low-emission XCarb\u00ae steel. Such a combination of technologies guarantees not only eco-friendly production but also exceptional durability \u2013 even in the most demanding conditions, such as coastal zones or industrial areas with high pollution. According to this directive, photovoltaic panel manufacturers are obliged to cover the costs of collection and recycling of used panels.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In our approach to SOLROOF, we place great emphasis on sustainable practices, which is why we take action to minimize negative environmental impact. That is why we use recycled, low-emission XCarb\u00ae steel from one of the largest steel suppliers, ArcelorMittal. We focus on innovative technologies and processes that enable the recovery of valuable materials from used panels.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are committed to long-term solutions so that our technology supports both economic development and sustainable development goals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our specialists have developed realistic disposal scenarios, thanks to which 98% of steel scrap and 100% of electrical waste are recycled. 100% of plastics are incinerated with energy recovery.
